The Reminder newspaper is sponsoring an ER balloon fund raising event Saturday to support the redevelopment project at the Flin Flon General Hospital emergency room.  Publisher Valerie Durnin explains they have six businesses that are participating in helping them gather donations and so people can look for the balloons around town and they are also publishing a section on Friday that has a lot of information about the redevelopment of the ER and some of the really good things that are going to come and the really positive changes that are going to come from this new building so they’re hoping people will read the section, go visit the businesses and help make this project happen.

At the official sod turning to start the construction project last week the Northern Health Foundation reported of the 2.2 million dollar community contribution to the 25.2 million dollar project there’s only 668 thousand dollars left to raise.
