(January 31, 2012)  To recognize V-Day the Women’s Resource Center is presenting the Vagina Monologues on March 15th in the Flin Flon Community Hall.  Their Executive Director Colleen Arnold invites anyone interested to add your thoughts, audition for a part or help organizing the event.  She explains V-Day is a global movement to end violence against women and girls and it raises funds and awareness through the benefit production of Eve Ensler’s award winning play the Vagina Monologues.  She says the monologues are based on real women’s stories so it allows women who hear the stories to know that they are not alone in their experience.  Arnold adds it helps people who have experienced violence to heal and it inspires people, women and men, to get involved in V-Day efforts to stop violence against women and girls.
