(January 31, 2012)  Auriga Gold has announced the appointment of Mike Kernick as General Manager of the Maverick Gold Project 65 kilometers northeast of Flin Flon that includes the past-producing Puffy Lake Mine and on-site mill and the adjacent Nokomis deposit. Kernick will be responsible for the planned mining and milling operations at the Maverick Gold Project.

              Auriga President Richard Sutcliffe says they are fortunate to have Kernick to advance the project to gold production.  He says his experience with narrow vein gold mining in the Timmins camp is particularly well suited to the Puffy style mineralization and will be applicable to the development of the open pit and redevelopment of the underground mine at the Puffy Lake property.
