(Febraury 1, 2012)  The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce continues its membership drive with 58.4 percent of members already paid for this year with just over 8 thousand dollars paid down from just over 14 thousand at this time last year.  Members are reminded to pay their membership by February 10th to be included in the Buy Local Directory.  The Chamber has been meeting with businesses to discuss their concerns and the benefits of being a Chamber member.

              The Chamber reminds anyone interested they are still looking for a design for a geocache coin.  The competition closes on February 10th.  You can call the Chamber office for more information.  The schools have been contacted to see if any art students are interested and some students at Hapnot have agreed to submit designs.

              The Chamber will hold their next general meeting Tuesday at noon at the Friendship Center with guest speaker Lawrence Gillespie from the Flin Flon Neighborhood Revitalization Corporation who will speak on crime prevention through environmental design.
