Habitat for Humanity


Want to see a Habitat For Humanity Chapter in Flin Flon?  You can!  Attend a meeting at 7pm Thursday February 9th at the Flin Flon town council chambers and find out more about Habitat for Humanity and how we can have a chapter right here in Flin Flon.

FF Women Connecting


Flin Flon Women Connecting is having a brunch Feb 18th at 9:30 at the Bakers Narrows Lodge Club House.  Featured speaker Lena Gowenlock will talk about Estate Considerations.  Janice Dearing will share her tips to help stressed-out women to   “Avoid the Perfection Trap”.  Special music will be provided by Judy Eagle.   An excellent brunch will be served.  Cost is $10.  Tickets are available from the Orange Toad, and from Linda Lautimus – 687-4800. Come and bring a friend for a refreshing morning out!

Book Fair


There will be a book fair at Rith Betts Community School February 22nd from 4-7pm.  See all science fair projects and talk to people at the health fair too.

Celebrity reading night


February 8th from 6-8pm there will be celebrity reading night at Ruth Betts Community School.  Bring your family for pizza, meet the mayor, the fire chief and other friends.  Free books for all kids in attendance!

Family Dance


There will be a Family Dance at Ruth Betts SchoolFrom 6:30 - 8pm on February 29th.

Breastfeeding Friends


An afternoon of discussing, sharing and fun willt take place for breastfeeding mothers February 9th and February 23rd from 1:30 - 3:30pm at Ruth Betts Family Room. 

Coffee and conversation


The Women's Resource centre will be holding coffee and conversation Thursdays from 2 - 3:30 upstairs at the woman's resource centre.  The first session will be February 9th.  H&R block will be speaking.  All women welcome.

Flin Flon School Division


The next regular meeting of the board of trustees of the Flin Flon School Division will take place January 31st at 7pm in the board room of the Flin Flon School Division.

Free Income Tax Seminar


H&R Block is offereing a free income tax seminar to employment and income assistance clients Saturday Febuary 18th from 1-4pm at the Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Centre Hall.  Pre registration is required.  Please sign up at the friendship centre or call 687-3900.  At the time of the seminar please bring your income tax forms and recipts.

Free Computer Classes


Sign up now for free one on one tutoring sessions for computers.  Call Joshua Ramshaw at 306-240-6567 or the Flin Flon Public Library at 687-3397.  Services are available until mid March.

Casino Bus Tour


There will be a Casino Bus tour leaving the Flin Flon Community Hall February 7th at 8am.  The bus will travel to Aseneskak Casino in the pas and leave the casino at 2:30pm.  Cost per person is $25.  Register at the Aqua Centre.  For more information call 681-7540.
