Kodiaks Finally Play At Home

The Creighton Kodiaks will try to shake off a early season defeat at the hands of Sandy Bay, when they play their much awaited home opener against Cumberland House this Thursday in 6 man Northern Saskatchewan Football.

The Kodiaks were supposed to host Laronge at home September the 8th, but that game got moved til Tuesday October the 4th due to the resodding of Creighton field.

Cumberland House is a veteran team and racked up 96 points against Laronge last week and will pose a very strong challenge for the Kodiaks Thursday who only have 4 players remaining from last year's team.

Head Coach Ryan Karakochuk says his team will be ready." We have had a good week of practise, and I really think last week's game in Sandy Bay will help us as we were able to determine our strengths and our weakness's. A lot of our players were nervous stepping on the field for the first time in a game and it will be nice to play a game on our home field."

The Creighton field looks great and will feature a brand new electronic scoreboard. Kickoff is at 4, and 102.9 CFAR will have a complete game report.
