Congratulations to Flin Flon's Joey Lies who has been voted the RBC Community Ambassador Award.

 

A  $25,00.00 donation will be presented to Ruth Betts Community school on behalf of Joey's award.

 

Lies is a local player from Flin Flon that went through the Flin Flon Minor Hockey system and always dreamed of being a Flin Flon Bomber.

 

This is Lies's second year with the Bombers and put up 13 points in 36 games last season including 5 goals. This season Joey put up 18 points in 41 games including 5 goals.

 

This has also been a dream season for Joey who has had a chance to suit up with his older brother Justin,  as they are playing on the same team for the first time since their early minor hockey days.

 

The Flin Flon local was one of four finalists for this year’s award, alongside Jacob Cossette of the La Ronge Ice Wolves, Leith Olafson of the Melfort Mustangs, and Keagon Little of the Estevan Bruins.

 

Lies wil be honored by the SJHL during one of the games in the Canterra Seeds Cup Final which will start this Friday between the Flin Flon Bombers and Melfort Mustangs.
